FOCUSING MIRES


Be sure that the astigmatism compensator is set to 8, the normal position.

Looking through the eyepiece, center the mires and bring the horizontal black line into sharp focus using the joystick.  The line will be doubled unless it is in sharp focus.  When it is single you are ready to make the measurment.
